How important is real estate technology integration?

I was speaking with a real estate agent this morning and we got to talking about integrating other services she currently uses with Top Producer 8i. It is true that Top Producer 8i does integrate with a lot of the top products in the industry that real estate agents use on a regular basis.  

The truth is, it’s simply not possible to have everything integrated with Top Producer 8i as there are so many different products out there. With that in mind, you will need to ask yourself which are the most important tools you would expect to integrate with a CRM like Top Producer 8i?

Having fully integrated tools is a huge benefit to any real estate agent. Not only are you going to be cutting out tedious manual tasks, you are going to become “AUTOMATED”. Now, what does automated mean? Let’s see what Wikipedia has to say.

From Wikipedia:
“Automation plays an increasingly important role in the daily experience. Engineers strive to combine automated devices with mathematical and organizational tools to create complex systems for a rapidly expanding range of applications and human activities.”

My translation:
“When you have integrated systems in place that are working for you, this reduces the need for your intervention”  

Imagine having lead generation tools you use on regular basis funnel leads into Top Producer 8i automatically instead of having to enter them manually. How much time would you save daily? Or imagine being able to pull data from Top Producer 8i into your transaction management platform automatically; how much time could you save from that alone? How about importing listing data from your local MLS into Top Producer 8i for tracking your listings or creating flyers rather than manually entering the data; could you save enough time to hit the beach? (ok, maybe not to hit the beach but instead spending more face time with clients)

So let me ask you the following:

How important is integration with Realtor.com?
How important is integration with your MLS?
How important is integration with your website (lead capture)?
How important is integration with your transaction management platform?

In the end, this customer uses products that Top Producer integrates with already which obviously made the decision easy for them.

    Interesting post here. If you subscribe to the E-Myth method of building a business, it makes sense to automate everything possible. A growing business requires well defined systems for accomplishing each task and with the advances in technology on a near-daily basis, there’s very little reason not to automate as many of your processes as possible. Even cost is not necessarily a factor these days because so many tools are inexpensive or even free.
